Host Download is a collection of Excel Macros, which are running under MS Excel 97/2000. In nearly all macros a file will be transferred from a server to a client. Then the file will be imported into MS Excel and edited as an Excel table sheet.
At the beginning you see a screen, in which you can enter TSO User (= User Name for FTP Transfer), the macro and further details. Host Dataset Name and Client Dataset Name will be displayed in relationship to the choosen settings.
If you want to see further informations about a choosen macro, just click "Info".
In the Excel-Table Host Download.xls there are descriptions of all macros
Before the FTP Transfer starts, you can enter Host Name, TSO User Name, Passwort, Host Dataset Name and Client Dataset Name. When the "OK" button is pressed, this parameters will be listed as FTP commands in a FTP-Script, which will be processed by the DOS program ftp.exe. Then the client dataset will be imported into Excel as an Excel Table, which will be edited by the macro.
